Blue Lullaby documents my personal journey of self-soothing through the act of making. Informed by the wisdom of the intrinsic healing power of touch, this installation delves deep into the therapeutic potential of textile craftsmanship.

Through the repetitive motions of textile making, I discovered a means of regulating my own nervous system, unlocking a space within where suppressed emotions find expression through material form. As I immersed myself in the rhythmic cadence of crafting, I found echoes of childhood comfort and security, reminiscent of the gentle gestures used to soothe and cradle a child, akin to a lullaby. I am guided structurally by an obsession with circles. The motifs recur throughout each piece, symbolizing my own constant search and desperation for the comfort provided within the wholeness and continuity of the shape.
